DAVID TIXIER TRIO
ABOUT
The three members of the trio colour and explore the compositions written by David Tixier. Unity, energy and surprise are the key words of this project.
Each of those musicians are awarded by the famous French National Award of La Défense Jazz Festival (Paris); Jeremy Bruyère on bass, Lada Obradovic on drums, and David Tixier on piano.
Their new album "Because I Care" invites David Linx (vocals) and is telling the story about Icarus' Myth throughout eight original compositions and a cover of Neil Young's "Old Man" arranged by the trio.
The first album of the band entitled "Universal Citizen" was recorded in November 2017 in New York City and features guests artists Mike Moreno & Sachal Vasandani.
Created in February 2016, the David Tixier Trio has played among many venues and festivals such as Sunside-Sunset in Paris, Sala Clamores in Madrid, Alexander Platz Jazz Club in Rome, at B-Flat Jazz Club in Berlin, at Satchmo Jazz Club, Maribor, at Jazz En Ville Festival 2016, and Jazz En Baie Festival 2016, France, JazzOo Festival, Jakobstad in Finland, Cully Jazz Festival, in Switzerland, and others.
